Now, only NXP Semiconductors and Infineon, which bought a license to produce these cards, have the official right to make Mifare 4K chips. However, there is a large number of "non-original" cards on the market, which in terms of their parameters are in no way inferior to the "original", except for reliability, but the cost of these cards is much lower than the "original".
