Compared to a traditional four-bay NAS, the TS-431XeU is only 291mm deep. The TS-431XeU is an excellent choice for small cabinets, and if standard racks are used, the space can be used for cabling or ventilation.

Snapshots Volume & LUN to restore
The QTS storage manager has in its arsenal a simple tool for creating snapshots and restoring data at any moment in time in order to minimize the possibility of losing important data placed on the drive. You can take snapshots of Volume/LUNs (up to 256 snapshots per volume or LUN, up to a maximum of 1024 snapshots per NAS) and replicate Volume/LUN snapshots to a remote server, copying only source changes, or quickly create an exact copy of a local volume by selecting the desired snapshot from an archive, without the need to interrupt current system operations. Optionally, you can configure the creation of snapshots on a schedule, to scheduled operations via RTRR/rsync, even if the files are currently being worked on.

Reliable 24/7 operation
The TS-431XeU business class model was specially designed for 24/7 operation. Support for various RAID configurations and the ability to hot-swap disks guarantee continuous operation of critical services. Array RAID protection technology prevents data loss when a good disk is accidentally removed in array recovery mode. Efficiency and continuity are also provided by 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports in trunking or failover mode.
