Principle of operation

The wireless outdoor motion sensor with the Ajax MotionCam Outdoor camera allows you to detect intrusion into the protected area. The sensor is immune to animals up to 80 cm tall, does not react to swaying branches or leaves, the presence of birds or insects does not cause false alarms. The sensor is also protected from unauthorized exposure (hanging, painting, varnishing), works at a temperature below 0 ° C, protected from splashes and dust, the working range is adjustable.

The principle of operation of Ajax MotionCam Outdoor is based on the detection of infrared (IR) radiation from a living being. Every living being, including people, is a source of IR radiation. The sensor is equipped with two independent passive IR sensors. The obtained data are verified using the two-factor LISA algorithm: detection of similarity between signals from both sensors, as well as verification of spectral images. This makes it possible to avoid false alarms, and also allows you to adjust the range of the sensor (3-15 m).

When both IR sensors detect movement, the hub activates the alarm. Also, MotionCam Outdoor will take from 1 to 5 photos (320 × 176, by default), they will be transferred to the remote control of the security company and all users of the system.

The sensor is easy to install and configure without special knowledge: installation on the SmartBracket is convenient and will not harm the repair, connection to the central unit is made through the mobile application in literally one click. The device is ready to work out of the box, even the battery is installed.

The sensor is not compatible with Hub and Hub Plus hubs, ReX radio signal repeater, third-party security centers, as well as ocBridge Plus and uartBridge integration modules.
