TP-Link MC220L is a media converter used for signal conversion and subsequent connection of a 1000BASE-SX/LX/LH fiber optic cable to a 1000Base-T twisted pair and vice versa. Designed specifically for the IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX/LH standards, the TP-Link MC220L media converter is intended for use with multimode / singlemode fiber optic cable connected via SC / LC connectors. When transmitting and receiving data over a multimode cable, the converter works at a wavelength of 850 nm, and when using a single-mode cable - at a length of 1310 nm. Among other functions of this device, it should be noted the possibility of using the media converter as an independent product (the MC220L does not require a mounting chassis) or together with a 19'' special TP-LINK chassis with Auto MDI / MDI-X support for the TX port and also equipped with LED status indicators. MC220L allows you to increase the length of the fiber optic single-mode channel up to 10 km, and the multi-mode channel - up to 0.55 km.
