The chip is not a large-sized microcircuit into which information about the resource of the cartridge itself, provided with the function of data exchange with the printer, is sewn. Simply put, thanks to the chip, the machine can count the number of printed pages. At the moment when the page counter has reached the end, you will see a warning that the cartridge has run out and needs to be replaced, even if there is unused toner left in the cartridge hopper. It is not recommended to touch the chip with wet hands. Store in a dry place.
