Fan GELID Silent 8 PWM Black is designed for advanced users, providing additional airflow through the use of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to automatically adjust fan speed depending on CPU load. The fan can run at low speeds and thus operate silently. A smart chip has been integrated into the fan's PCB to use your motherboard's BIOS software. This technology is more efficient and convenient than using an external fan controller to regulate the voltage.
Each fan blade has been individually balanced using the latest technology to ensure stable, trouble-free operation. The fan mounts are made of high-quality, heat-resistant, durable rubber to improve quietness, which prevents vibrations from the fan motor from spreading to your PC case.
How does (PWM) work?
Pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides a digital signal. Using a digital (PWM) signal has a number of advantages over an analog controller:
- PWM control calculates the appropriate cooling performance according to the CPU and system temperature;
- PWM control of your motherboard is always set for proper cooling;
- PWM control works without generating heat.
