The Ajax FireProtect Plus wireless smoke detector is designed to detect fire in a protected room. The sensor detects smoke and carbon monoxide using an infrared emitter and photoreceptor. When smoke particles enter the camera, the camera detects the distortion of the IR beam. If there is a lot of smoke, the beam distortion becomes strong, the sensor sends wireless fire alarm signals to the smart Ajax Hub and the siren is activated. Also, the Ajax FireProtect Plus sensor reacts to a sharp rise in temperature even in a smoke-free room and similarly sends an alarm signal.
