Network card D-Link DGE-550SX

The DGE - 550SX adapter with a Gigabit Ethernet optical interface is designed for connecting to servers. It is compatible with the 32/64-bit PCI bus, provides data transfer at a speed of 2000 Mbit/s in full-duplex mode, and also supports VLAN filtering and hardware calculation of checksums of TCP/UDP/IP protocols. The adapter works in Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, NT, NetWare and Linux, providing workstations with an access channel to the server for simultaneous access to databases and sending electronic messages.

The adapter allows establishing a reliable connection to the server through an optical communication channel. It works well in environments with high electromagnetic interference, providing a multimode optical cable connection to a switch located up to 550 m away.

The network adapter has built-in filtering of VLAN-tagged Ethernet frames, allowing the server to be configured with VLAN support. This allows the server to work in a flexible and secure network created according to standards.
