The UTP patch panel is one of the main elements for creating a functional structured cabling system. Patch panel UTP is an unshielded version of switch panels, the main function of which is to consolidate cables in the network.

The abbreviation UTP (Unshielded twisted pair) denotes an unshielded twisted pair, that is, a cable that does not use protection against electromagnetic interference that causes data loss. Switchboards designed to work with unshielded cables are also designated as UTP and equipped with unshielded ports (RJ45 connectors).

The patch panel UTP 19 "(standard for unshielded patch panels 19 inches design) has a front side on which ports (sockets) are located, above each of which there is a platform for changeable marking. On the reverse side of the panel there are contacts with color and digital marking.
