Lens EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5 IS Canon (2752B005)

Canon has announced the release of a new universal lens in the EF-S series: the EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (2752B005). With an equivalent focal length of 29 - 320 mm, this model has an 11x zoom range. Thanks to these characteristics, the new product is a powerful and at the same time compact solution that can replace a whole range of lenses.

The EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens (2752B005) is intended exclusively for use with EOS cameras equipped with the EF-S series mount (e.g. EOS 50D, EOS 1000D, EOS 450D and earlier models).

The EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (2752B005) uses a design of 16 elements in 12 groups. Aspherical and ultra-low-dispersion elements reduce chromatic aberration and provide exceptional clarity across the entire frame at the entire magnification range. A short focusing distance (only 45 cm) provides maximum convenience when framing.

Canon's four-stage optical image stabilizer, specially designed for a certain range of focal lengths of this lens, effectively compensates for image blur that may occur when shooting handheld or during long exposures. Automatic panning ensures optimal efficiency when shooting moving objects. Since the image stabilizer is inside the lens, the photographer sees a stable image through the viewfinder when composing the shot.
