Lens Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L IS II USM (2309C005)

Canon announces the release of the Canon EF 70-200mm f / 4.0L IS II USM, Canon's first interchangeable lens equipped with 4-stop image stabilization. The new lens allows you to shoot while holding the camera in your hands, without significant smearing of the image with shutter speeds 4 stops longer than in normal cases. It's the perfect solution for shooting in low light without using a tripod or flash.

Image stabilizer. The 4-stage image stabilizer (IS) opens up fundamentally new possibilities for shooting in low-light conditions. Under normal conditions, photographers, working with a camera in their hands, use a shutter speed of 1/250 s - the image stabilizer allows you to achieve similar stability of the image without smearing at a shutter speed of 1/15 s.

It also significantly reduces image blur caused by camera shake during shooting. Gyroscopic sensors detect unwanted oscillations and cause movement of a group of correction lenses in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis. This allows you to adjust the flow of light and restore the correct location of the image on the sensor or film.

When shooting stationary objects, mode 1 compensates for image movement horizontally and vertically. When shooting a moving subject with horizontal wiring, mode 2 turns off vertical correction, which prevents the effect of shifting the subject in the frame. When the camera is mounted on a tripod, the image stabilizer is automatically disabled. Thus, the possibility of feedback between the oscillations of the image stabilizer sensor and the stabilizer motor is excluded.

High precision autofocus. The ring-type ultrasonic motor (USM) creates ultrasonic frequency oscillations for high-speed and virtually silent autofocus.
