EdgePoint-R8 is a universal solution that allows you to fully route traffic when working with many access points. Thanks to the full support of Layer 3 specifications and a rich set of various interfaces, EdgePoint-R8 can replace a switching cabinet containing a router, modem, PoE adapters.

Ports 1 and 2 can be supplied with both 24v and 54v power at a current of up to 1.4A, and can be used to connect powerful consumers, for example, radio relay stations of the AirFiber series. Ports numbered 3-7 work with PoE 24v at a current of up to 0.7A.

An informative display panel is placed on the outside of the switch body, which informs about the presence or absence of a connection, as well as the status of all available ports, which additionally facilitates working with the device.

The computing part of the switch consists of a productive dual-core MIPS64 processor and 2 gigabytes of RAM of the DDR3 standard. Such power is quite enough for stable operation even at the maximum level of network load, without failures, errors, and the unfortunate "hanging" of the device.

EdgePoint-R8 has an all-weather case that provides reliable protection of the electronic components of the device and allows you to use it outdoors without additional protection, at temperatures from - 20 to + 65 degrees.

Thanks to one compact EdgePoint controller, there is no need to buy expensive switching cabinets, make redundant structures that lead to excessive maintenance.
