Purpose
CRS112-8G-4S-IN is a multiport router (router) with optical and Ethernet ports, made by Mikrotik. The router belongs to the CRS (Cloud Router Switch) series of fully managed L3 switches that connect your own computer network to the Internet without overloading. The device redistributes the load between 8 Ethernet ports and 4 interfaces for fiber optic channels (SFP modules are not included in the delivery set).
The increased number of multiports allows the Mikrotik Cloud Router Switch CRS112-8G-4S-IN router to direct subscribers to the provider's server using IPoE and L3 technologies. At the same time, in IPoE technology, the subscriber's address is assigned imperceptibly as a result of the usual connection of the device to the Internet, and switching solutions at the L3 level save the provider from the difficulties of transferring VLAN networks between nodes of the supported network.
