Support for a fast 1000 Mbit / s interface allows you to work with very high-resolution cameras and other equipment that makes high demands on network bandwidth. The connection to the switch is made by devices included in the network using a "twisted pair" type cable. It is recommended to use an Ethernet cable of category 5 and better.

The switch automatically determines the support of PoE technology and the connected class, as well as the speed of the device on the network. The switch has the ability to dial using flow (Flow Control). It is needed to regulate signal transmission depending on the bandwidth and load of the network port. A large concentration of traffic on a network port can cause a drop in its bandwidth and an overload of the buffer memory, due to which packets are dropped and network frames are lost.

To prevent this from happening, the switch uses flow control (Flow Control) according to the IEEE802.3x standard in full duplex mode and flow control using the method of back pressure (Back pressure) in half duplex mode (half duplex). Flow control in duplex mode involves sending a pause signal to the transmitting port, which allows you to suspend the transmission in case of too much load on the receiving port (when the buffer on the receiving port is overflowing). In half-duplex mode, a collision signal is sent to the transmitting port (simulation of the collision state), which causes the transmitting port to temporarily stop transmission, which relieves the receiving port.
