D-Link Green technology
The D-Link company occupies a leading position in the development of innovative energy-saving technology, which does not reduce the performance and functionality of the device. The technology provides for an automatic change in the level of the transmitted signal depending on the length of the connected cables (up to 20 meters). The use of Green Ethernet technology allows the switch to obtain information about their activity by polling the status of the ports and, if necessary, automatically disable inactive ports.

Flexible integration into the existing network
The DGS-1210 series switches are equipped with Gigabit Ethernet copper ports that provide connectivity over existing Category 5 twisted-pair cabling. Each switch is equipped with two or four SFP combo ports for flexible optical connection to trunks and servers. With the help of the preliminary settings wizard, the administrator can quickly make preliminary settings on the switch.

Advanced level 2 features
DGS-1210 switches support a number of Layer 2 features, including IGMP Snooping, Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree, and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). IEEE 802.3 x flow control allows you to directly connect servers to the switch for fast and reliable data transfer. Supporting a speed of 2000 Mbit/s in full duplex mode, the switch provides high transmission speed for connecting workplaces with minimal data loss. The switches support the cable diagnostics function and the Loopback Detection function. The Loopback Detection function is used to detect loops and automatically disable the port on which the loopback is detected. The cable diagnostic function is designed to determine the types of copper cables, as well as the type of cable fault.
