The difference between multigel batteries and classic lead batteries is that they contain an absorbed electrolyte, and not an aqueous one, which gives a number of positive changes in the properties of the battery.

In the production of multigel batteries, a porous filler of the compartments of the fiberglass body is used, impregnated with an aqueous electrolyte. The micropores of this material are not completely filled with electrolyte. The remaining volume is used for gas recombination. The multi-gel battery has a number of advantages over classic rechargeable batteries, acquired at the expense of this technology. In particular, resistance to vibration, the possibility of installation in any position and the absence of the need for maintenance.
