The thermal film serves as an intermediary between the thermocouple and the rubber shaft. The part is made of a strong heat-resistant polymer and has the shape of an empty cylinder. The thermal film is resistant to high temperatures, as the temperature of the heated thermoelement is 190-240 degrees. The thermal film is in contact with the paper, which moves at high speed, thus it has high mechanical resistance. Thermal film is mainly used in printers produced by Hewlett Packard and Canon.
