The HP LJ P2035/2055/Pro 400 VEAYE paper pickup roller (RL1-2120-VE) is the main part of the paper pickup unit. The main function is to grab the top page from a stack of paper and send it further through the print cycle. The paper pick-up roller consists of a plastic frame on which a special rubber ring is placed. Over time, the rubber dries out, wears out due to dirty or poor-quality paper, and the roller becomes unable to tighten the sheet. The paper pick-up roller affects the accurate positioning of the image on the sheet, as a worn roller skews the paper when it is picked up.
