Heat-shrink sleeves or KDZS (welded joint protection parts set) are designed to ensure mechanical strength and moisture protection of the joint (welding) of two fibers. These KDZS sleeves have a length of 45 mm and consist of a metal rod, an inner tube made of sevilene and an outer tube made of polyolefin. When heated, the tubes alternately melt and evenly fill the space around the fiber, and when cooled, they harden and, together with the metal rod, create a monolithic protective structure that prevents mechanical damage to the connection. Slim sleeves are characterized by a reduced diameter after shrinkage, compared to ordinary sleeves. This diameter after shrinkage is approximately 2.4 mm.
